News as of late the American Sport Fishing Association (ASA) and the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) announced a partnership where they will co-locate trade shows to one venue in 2013. The International Convention of Allied Sport fishing Trades and the International Fly Tackle Dealer Show will be held July 10-12 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention in Reno Nevada.
The merge will create the largest recreational fishing show in the world. Such an alliance offers
tremendous exposure for companies and businesses within the fly fishing industry allowing organizations to grow and improve business together.
Individuals no longer have to choose which show to attend so hopefully the merger will increase show attendance. The new show will create a superb opportunity for fly fishing companies and organizations to feature themselves at will most likely become a much anticipated event each year.
