The creek is fishing excellent right now. We have had a much lower water year than normal but the water is still flowing at very good levels, it would appear that flows have peaked at around 400 CFS on the SBC and the stream been flowing steady for the past few weeks at around 200 – 300 CFS. The bugs are hatching and we are seeing lots of hoppers, gray drakes and a good assortment of smaller mayflies. Fishing is great right now, so waste no time in getting out on the water!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of fishing with a very skilled angler and we were able to target some of the larger fish at Lincoln Hills. We landed several fish in the six to ten pound range and had some great dry fly action mid-afternoon.
