Our very own Angling University is pleased to offer a new series of classes that are perfect for all ages and experience levels and even the whole family! The weather this spring has been beautiful and spending time with friends and family on the water is a great way to experience Colorado’s great outdoors. Our fly-fishing classes and conventional fishing lessons are designed to be fun and informative.
In addition to our current course offerings we are pleased to introduce the following:
Butterfly Pavilion – 1 Day Youth Fly Fishing classes
Youth Fishing 101 - A 6 hour course for youth ages 10-14. This 6 hour interactive workshop for youth gives kids all the knowledge they need to start fly-fishing in the Rockies. Classes include instruction in a classroom and on the water.
Bass Pro – Reel Family Fun - Learning how to catch fish. Reel Family Fun is designed to educate parents on fundamental fishing basics to share with their kids while youngsters learn the basics through fun, kid friendly activities. In this class, participants learn how to use basic spin casting equipment to fish with bait, spinners, and even flies. Families also get to test out their newly learned skills at a nearby fishing location under the watchful eye of an Angling University instructor. This course includes classroom time and on-water time at a nearby fishery.
Warm Water 102 - Learn to fly fish for "warm water" species in one day. Based on our popular "Learn to Catch a Trout in One Day" this all inclusive (fishing license not included), interactive workshop for beginner and advanced fly anglers alike includes actual water time, as the lab portion of the class takes place at a nearby warm water fishery. In this course, you will learn about fish identification, characteristics, fly selection, equipment, and fishing techniques for Bass, Carp, Wiper, Pike, and other warm water fish. This course combines class time with our revolutionary interactive lecture series.
