Spring has been in the air lately and while it is still a little early to expect sunshine and blue sky every morning, we are most certainly getting close to the warmer seasons in Colorado. Warmer temperatures on the Front Range are slowly starting to thaw out our local rivers and streams. I have been fortunate to be on the water with clients the past few weekends and am pleased to report that the fishing has been nothing short of spectacular.
Our fly fishing properties on the St. Vrain River, particularly our Williams Ranch situated in Lyons, Colorado have been fishing quite well as these dam released stretches stay open for the most of the winter. As of late the fishing has been great with tiny midge and mayfly imitations. Most of the action has been subsurface but we have even seen a few sporadic midge hatches with fish sipping bugs off the surface. We would love to spend a day on the water with you!
