When they started the stream improvements on the Dream Stream a few years ago I was so excited because I thought stream improvements always lead to bettering fishing. Now with a wealth of stream improvement experience in my pocket I realize that is not always the case. The reality at the Dream Stream was that is pushed most of the larger resident fish down into Eleven Mile Reservoir leaving behind good looking water that only held the six inch stockers they tried so hard to get to repopulate. However, in the spring and fall all us dedicated anglers make the pilgrimage to Dream Stream, Colorado's best imitation of Wyoming's Miracle Mile. Here we hunt for big fish among the new plans hoping for something that will start or end our season with a bang.
Well pilgrims... I have good news to report. The fish are moving and there are more of them in this run than I can remember in the last four or five seasons at least. They are moving and eating! Even a few hours in the South Park wind can't get you down on a day like we had yesterday. Read our fishing report for more details. The hunt is on!
